This award-winning standard gauge steam railway is one of Britain’s most popular heritage railways. The train takes visitors on a 12-mile scenic journey through the magnificent ruins of Corfe Castle, the beautiful Purbeck countryside down to the blue flag beach at Swanage. Along the journey, passengers get to appreciate the areas fascinating geology, abundant wildlife and the rich history. The steam trains run every day from April to October and most weekends throughout the year. The trains operate to stations at Herston, Herston Halt, Harman’s Cross, Corfe Castle, Norden, and Swanage.
